Nothing is more difficult than knowing precisely what se see

hehe

From 24 April to 3 May 2026, The Master Studies Photography in collaboration with The Postgraduate in Curatorial Studies at KASK & Conservatorium presents Nothing is more difficult than knowing precisely what we see, a group exhibition bringing together 19 artists whose works explore photography as a space where perception, memory, and imagination intersect. Through images, installations, and archival materials, the exhibition questions what it means to see and how images can reshape our understanding of reality. As a human creation, photography mirrors the non-linearity of our existence, reflecting its subjectivity and abstraction. Expanding across different media, the exhibition opens a space to engage with a simple yet complex question: What do we actually see? Structured in six chapters, the exhibition unfolds as a journey through different ways of relating to the image; as trace, memory, projection, fiction, and matter. Borrowing its title from the philosopher Maurice Merleau-Ponty, this exhibition invites visitors to reconsider vision. It is shaped by time, subjectivity, and context, both in the creation of the artwork and in its reception.
